SMBC Consumer Finance started operations in 1962 to provide financing to the general public. Since then, we have served a large number of individuals over the years, responding to changes in market condition. From April 2012, we became a wholly owned subsidiary of the Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group (SMFG).Moreover, SMBC Consumer Finance renamed from Promise on July 1, 2012.
As the nucleus of the SMFG’s consumer finance business, all of our actions will be focused on achieving our objective of becoming a highly trustworthy global consumer finance company.
