(Case 4) Financial consulting for individuals
In financial consulting for individual customers, we have been striving to realize "total consulting services to serve as a one-stop shop of all financial services." In order to achieve this goal, we have been substantially enhancing our product lineup which includes investment trusts, pension-type insurances and level-premium insurances, while improving consultants' skills.
We aim to further increase volume / fulfill quality of transactions with customers by further enhancing product lineup and reinforcing capability to meet needs for inheriting property as well as fulfilling the Internet-related services and strengthening housing loan origination. For the purpose, SMBC's channels for individual customers will enhance collaboration with SMBC Nikko Securities and Middle Market Banking Unit, in addition to the alliance with the Barclays Group which is a U.K. leading bank. Accordingly, we are developing the total consulting business model which is less sensitive to changes in market conditions through providing optimal products that respond each customer's needs and continuing follow-up consulting services.
