マニラ支店では、「環境」「貧困・格差」をテーマにシャカカチDAYを実施し、2024年11月14日には、当地の慈善団体であるCaritas Manilaと連携し、Bukid Kabataan Farmにて合計約83本ものさまざまな種類の野菜や植物を植える農業ボランティアを行いました。
農場にて収穫された作物は、当地のNGO団体の支援対象者のために使用されます。
また、12月18日にはがん患者を支援するJesus Christ Cares for Cancer, Inc.と連携し、がん患者の方々に向けて日用品の寄贈を行いました。
今後もマニラ支店は地域の皆さまと共に社会課題の解決に努めて参ります。
Committed to resolving social issues, SMBC Manila Branch dedicated efforts to support different pockets of the society.
To wrap up 2024, SMBC volunteers gathered at the Bukid Kabataan Farm to plant over 80 types of vegetables and plants ? restoring the environment as we bond over nature. The crops harvested at the farm will also be used to support the beneficiaries of local NGOs.
In further efforts to uplift and make a difference in the community, SMBC also donated daily necessities to support cancer patients in recovery.
