2025年9月9日、SMBCバンクインターナショナルは、ロンドン東部の共同庭園を維持管理する取組である、Industrial Placement Programmeを実施しました。
共同庭園では、誰でも花・果物・野菜を育てることができ、収穫物は地域コミュニティで分配されます。本プログラムでは、参加者が土を堀り、草むしりをし、花壇を整えるなどして庭園の維持管理に取組みました。
SMBCバンクインターナショナルでは引き続き地域コミュニティの活性化に向けた取組に励んで参ります。
Abbey Gardens is an open-access garden in East London where everyone is welcome to grow flowers, fruit and vegetables.
The space is used communally and produce is shared among the local community.

It celebrates our local community and builds resilience against the challenges we face together.
Our IPP cohort took time away from their laptops and spent the day together digging, weeding, building raised beds and maintaining this important community space.
