フードバンクにて食品選別と食料箱の梱包をボランティアで実施しました。

2025年11月5日、SMBCバンクEUミラノ支店ではミラノ近郊のフードバンクにて地域の小売店やスーパーマーケットから集められた食品を選別し、梱包するボランティア活動を行いました。
本取組を通してスーパーマーケットとフードバンクの連携も深めることができ、フードロスの削減、貧困・格差の是正に寄与することができました。
今後もミラノ支店では地域の課題に対する取組みを継続してまいります。
On November 5th, 2025, twelve volunteers from SMBC Bank EU's Milan branch gathere at the Banco Alimentare, a food bank near Milan. They were divided into small groups and assigned specific tasks, beginning with the unpacking of boxes collected by the Food Bank from local retailers and supermarkets.
SMBC staff worked side by side with the Food Bank’s resident volunteers, fostering a spirit of collaboration and community. This initiative represents a win-win: it contributes to the fight against food waste and poverty, while also encouraging supermarkets to partner with the Food Bank to optimise their storage and distribution practices.
