2025年12月7日、絶滅危惧種を含む多くの鳥類にとって重要な生息地であるマイポー自然保護地区において、生態系保全に向けたボランティア活動を実施しました。
当日は、鳥類が住処や繁殖の場として利用できる環境を維持するための草刈りに加え、保護地区の生態系に関する調査・研究に資するよう、樹木調査を行いました。
今後も、この唯一無二の鳥類の生息地と豊かな生態系を守るため、活動を継続してまいります。
SMBC Group in Hong Kong Employees and family engaged in meaningful conservation activities at the Mai Po wetland, an important habitat for many bird species, including endangered species.
On the day, we carefully cut grass in designated areas to maintain and enhance the natural habitat that many bird species rely on for shelter and breeding.
We also conducted a detailed survey of the trees within the wetland, collecting valuable data to help scientists and environmental researchers better understand Mai Po’s ecological dynamics.
We will continue these efforts to protect this one-of-a-kind habitat for birds and its rich ecosystem.
